About me…
I am a London-based Nutritional Therapist and I specialise in supporting women through the hormonal changes during perimenopause and beyond. I want to help women understand what’s going on with their bodies and how to deal with the crazy symptoms and make it a better experience all round.
My interest in menopause comes from seeing friends, other mums and plenty of other age 40+ women who are suffering with changes to their body and mental health. I am 44 and in the early stages myself, so I am getting ahead with knowledge for my own personal journey.
It can be a long transition for many women, so coming at perimenopause with the right nutrition and lifestyle choices, is something I am passionate about sharing. Getting older (whilst still feeling young!) we want to focus on eating well, moving our bodies, quality sleep and feeling good in our skin.
I know how busy and stressful life can be, so I keep my nutrition advice practical and at an easy pace. I am not one to spend hours in the kitchen and I understand that time is not a luxury many women have. As a mum of two young boys, being hit with perimenopause symptoms I know the struggle is real!
My interest in health and nutrition started in my mid 20s but looking back it was all misled: I avoided fat completely, restricted my calorie intake living on salads and smoothies, over-exercising and not getting enough sleep.
In my mid 30s, nutritional therapy helped me to conceive my first son. I worked with someone to help me get my periods back after the low-fat diet lifestyle of my youth and years of not falling pregnant. My metabolism suffered with an under-active thyroid and over-worked adrenals. That’s also when I decided to retrain and study naturopathic nutrition.
I learnt how to help myself and nourish my body naturally and just as importantly to enjoy food. I love to help other women achieve their optimal health.
For my down time when I’m not shuttling my two sons to football, I like doing disco barre workouts, playing tennis and hunting out vintage clothes. I also love music and festivals with my friends. To relax I love a good book and having a sauna when I can.
I studied at the College of Naturopathic Medicine for three years and graduated with a Diploma in Nutritional Therapy in 2016. I also trained with the Institute of Functional Medicine (IFM) and completed their foundation module (AFMCP).
